Indian Yoga Teacher Creates a New Guinness World Record

Hong Kong based Indian Yoga teacher Mr. Yogaraj C.P. created a new Guinness World Record (GWR) by continuously performing more than 1500 asanas for 40 hrs and 15 mins reported Indian consulate in Hongkong.


Yogaraj CP was brought into Yoga at the age of 5 by his father, S. Chidhambaram, who was an ex-service man from the Indian Military. He later learned Yoga from Yoga Acharya A. Yesudas Antony, who has studied Yoga in the world renowned International Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India.

Yogaraj C.P began his quest for creating a new Guinness World Record of performing Yoga continuously for 40 hrs. It began at 1805 hrs on Friday, 13th February, 2015 and would end in the morning of Sunday, 15th Feb, 2015.

Prime Minister Modi also congratulated Yogaraj C.P for this record breaking effort.
